Vice-President's Message
Here it is! The first official newsletter for your eye’s only. (I can say
that because I’m English). Thank you for being so patient while we worked
hard at publishing your newsletter.
It is quite a challenge to design and publish anything. Having to think on a
full-time basis for 40hrs in a three-day period was most difficult and
challenging. Especially with a seven month old son by my side. Therefore, I
hope this newsletter is acceptable to all of you. I will try to improve on
the quality and quantity as time goes by.
It is with great enthusiasm that I am writing to ask all of you to help me
with this opportunity and responsibility that George has given me. Our goal
is to have three more newsletters out before the end of this year. Your help
is needed immediately. Please send all your articles to me either by email
or on a disc. If you do not have access to a computer, feel free to send me
your typed article with your photos. Include a self-addressed envelope and I
will make sure all of the materials are returned to you ASAP.
You now have an opportunity to communicate your experiences and also your
questions to other club members through your newsletter. I urge you to dig
deep and contribute. We are interested in your experiences, lofts, families
and your opinions. I for one can do with seeing many more articles written
on this magnificent breed.
The Oriental Roller should have it’s own “Pigeon Debut” special. With your
help and effort anything is possible. The more information we can acquire
allows us to accomplish such lofty goals. With your help and input I believe
we can do just about anything. Don’t sit back and wait for someone else to
ask the questions for you. Put pen to paper today. Writing was never one of
my strong points but when it comes to the Oriental Roller I get quite
prolific. Give it a try and send me your best effort. We all need to hear
from you.
If you have an email address or a web page, please send me this information
and it will be added to your address. This is your club and newsletter. In
order for it to thrive we need you to get involved. I look forward to
reading your articles
