Report on the Pageant of
Pigeons & Des Moines Show Nov / Dec 1998
Our first exhibition for the year was the Pageant of Pigeons, on November 19-21, 1998. We had a total of six exhibitors and twenty-six Flying Oriental Rollers. Our judge was veteran breeder, Dale Husband of St. George, Utah. Dale did a superb job selecting birds with proper size, feather quality, structure, and expression. It was an honor to have Mr. Dale Husband as our judge and to have him share his time and expertise with us. Thanks Dale. All of the birds were rated with letter grades and placed
numerically. The two top winners were rated “E” which is the highest grade a
bird can receive. The birds were a black YC. and a Silver OH. and a best was
selected.
